Help Me Help Others Fundraiser

THE PURPOSE: The purpose of Project SHINE is to change the way women feel about themselves after a breast cancer diagnosis and to create awareness around the emotional impact during and after treatment. Project SHINE started out as a no-cost beauty makeover experience for women and has grown into a collection of story-telling images that exemplify beauty, strength, hope and resilience. These artful messages not only empower survivors, but will resonate with all women.

THE GOAL: Our goal is to photograph 30 breast cancer survivors and have their storytelling images published in a book. Each woman chooses one word that best describes her experience and that word becomes the theme of her storytelling image. 

WHY DONATE?:  You will be helping breast cancer survivors see themselves as beautiful and feminine despite what the cancer may have taken.  You will be gifting these woman an opportunity to share their unique story and strength with others fighting the same disease. With your help, we can make sure this book filled with words of hope is in every lobby and waiting room where a woman is anxiously awaiting her test results. Because of your support, the breast cancer community will have a new light shining on the importance of emotional healing after a diagnosis/treatment.
